Can Work Damage Your Health
ErgoCube recently ran a campaign: Can Work Damage Your Health. The campaign aimed to provide visitors to the site with information to aid in avoiding work related aches and pains.
There were interviews and quotes from specialists in the pain related field. These included a McTimoney Chiropractor, an Occupational Physiotherapist and a teacher of the Alexander Technique. The Pain Concern organisation also provided a comment to “Can Work Damage Your Health”.
Visitors to the site were invited to provide a comment on “Can Work Damage Your Health” to be entered in the competition. The prize pot contained:
- an Enjoy ergonomic office chair – provided by Mesh Office Seating (UK) Ltd
- a PUK wrist rest and monitor arm – provided by ErgoCube
- a one-year subscription to the Pain Matters publication – kindly given by Pain Concern
- an Acuball Mini – kindly donated by Acuball UK
- Biofreeze and Sore No More products – generously donated by Natremed Group
Comments were reviewed by the team and narrowed down to one overall favourite. The winning comment was provided by Liz Cairns from the Creation Station. The team liked the positive note behind her comment.
“Work would be a much healthier place with @saxenworkplace office furniture”
Liz runs classes for kids to get them involved in the creative process by use of colour, shape and texture. Most of her work involves lots of running around and carrying. However, she also works from her home office a few times a week to keep up-to-date on her paperwork.
She attends a local chiropractor regularly for back problems so knows well that work can, indeed, damage your health! She was particularly pleased to bin her old second-hand computer chair and replace it with her nice new black mesh Enjoy office chair.
