… and you thought we only wrote about office furniture. Well this is, in a way!
We were very lucky to have The Cook School from Kilmarnock join us for our office furniture showroom launch on Thursday, 24th January 2013. During the day they carried out four cookery demonstrations for our guests and prepared delicious food for everyone to enjoy.
Tattie and leek soup was the starter of the day served with savoury herb scones.
Venison pie included haggis (to celebrate the Ayrshire bard, Rabbie Burns) and Chef Joe Queen even managed a little rendition of “ode tae a haggis” to mark the occasion.
Each demonstration finished with shortbread which had a cranachan theme with freeze dried raspberries – scrumptious.
All the food was delicious. If you attended our open day and are keen to try some of these dishes at home, The Cook School very kindly added them to their website as a reminder. If you weren’t fortunate enough to sample the menus on the day you could still give them a try at home.
The Saxen Team loved the menu so much we’ve booked a night out at The Cook School in March – see you then!
